MEETINGS - HOSTS AND GUESTS
The Torah Educational Experience in Israel "Talpiot Center"
Purpose: Strengthen the connection between young people from Israel
and the Diaspora by emphasizing their common Jewish culture and heritage.
Provide a Torah-oriented educational program for the joint study of
subjects that are appropriate for each age group. Visitors are hosted
in the homes of the Israeli youths and get to know the life and the
Land of Israel.
Process:
A two-part educational process will be used:
- Preparation - determine and announce a subject of study to be
prepared in class before the program begins, and
- In Israel - Israelis and visitors will expand and complete the
subject together by using reference materials and going on exciting
educational study trips.
Organization/Project Coordinator: The Talpiot Center has many years
experience in bringing groups together for educational purposes.
This program has been running for 9 years with a 6thgrade class from
England being hosted in Jerusalem by a statereligious school.
