Counter
the Boycott Campaigns!
Not only are we asking you to buy blue and white, but to buy from
companies being targeted for trading with Israel by an overt,
new, Islamic boycott initiative.
There are currently 22 companies from AOL Time Warner through
Intel, Estee Lauder, Marks & Spencer, Nokia to Selfridges,
which are in this position. (http://www.inminds.com/boycott-israel.html)
You should buy products, services and e-cards from these companies!
Please do not write letters of protest to the boycott websites
listed - write them to the Department of Trade, Commerce and so
on.

Ideas from Newspaper Articles
Jerusalem Post, June 26th 2002
Make a personal connection to Israel and show you care with
your greeting and wish for Israel. In a campaign called "Dear
Israel," more than ten thousand hand-made cards, drawings,
and messages of hope from children around the world are to be
put up around the capital, at sites hit by terror attacks and
businesses closed due to them, starting today. The campaign is
the initiative of Dana Rone Saroken with the Solomon Schechter
Institute and with the support of the Egged bus corporation, which
is mounting an exhibition at the Jerusalem Central Bus Station.
It is hoped to extend it around the country.

"What does support for Israel mean?"
In view of the decreasing number of visitors to Israel, other
solidarity options are explored and community members exhorted
to act:
Ideas to organize demonstrations at PLO Arab representations to
protest their misdeeds and inaction.
"Do it in your hometown."

From: Take A Pen
For first time, a group of EU parliament members from every political
trend will request an EU enquiry commission into the use of budgetary
aid given to Palestinian Authority. As you know there have been
reports indicating that EU financial aid has been misused to finance
terrorist activities against Israel.
Establishing an enquiry commission at EU level is an exceptional
procedure. Parliament members must obtain 157 signatures (1/4
of EU Parliament members) in order to have this matter passed
to vote in full session.
Parliament members leading this action:
François Zimeray (PSE, France),
Ilka Schröder (Green/ALE, Germany),
Frédérique Ries (ELDR, Belgium),
Willy De Clercq (ELDR, Belgium),
Olivier Dupuis (GDI, Italia)
The email and fax addresses of all members of the EU parliament
can be found at:

Please keep letters short and send a blind copy to Take
A Pen.
While one may also have grave reservations about current President
Jacques Chirac's financial support from virulently anti-Israel
sources, this is not the only worry for the Jews of France today.
Last night, Jean Marie Le Pen ran second in the first round of
France's presidential elections.
Political lLife makes strange bedfellows. As someone recently
wrote on the numerous recent incidents of Antisemitism in France
(albeit, largely orchestrated by violent Muslim groups), "I
hear the sound of breaking glass"
This is a petition, accompanied by Ed Koch's letter on France's
recent and distant antisemitic, plus its pro-terrorist record.
