I. LAND, PEACE & SECURITY

YISRAEL B'ALIYA (SHARANSKY)
*       Whilst considered leaning to the right of the spectrum
        Sharansky could come into coalition with both major parties if
        their economic demands were met.
*       The Jewish people possess inalienable right to the land of
        Israel.
*       Recognise the establishment of the Palestinian Autonomy whilst
        believing overall security in such an entity must remain in
        Israel's hands.
*       Opposes the establishment of a Palestinian state.

THE THIRD WAY
*       Opposes any concession on The Golan.
*       Wants peace with strong borders and rejects any withdrawal in
        the Jordan border.
*       Favors continuation of the peace process.

II. SETTLEMENT

III. RELIGION

YISRAEL B'ALIYA (SHARANSKY)
*       Concerned that the Government will be unwilling to accept
        reform conversion which would effect many Jews from the Soviet
        Union.
*       Opposes any change in the Law of Return.
*       Would oppose concessions to the Religious Parties.
*       Seeks the means to provide a permit for marriage to those
        citizens who, under religious law, are unable to marry in
        Israel and favors the creation of alternative burial sites..

THE THIRD WAY
*       May be willing to come to a deal with religious parties.
*       Wants to strengthen religious education.

IV. ECONOMY

YISRAEL B'ALIYA (SHARANSKY)
*       Represents Olim and seeks government funding to help their
        employment/housing/social situation.

THE THIRD WAY
*       Accelerate the process of dismantling state cartels and
        complete privatization of state owned industry.

V. JERUSALEM

YISRAEL B'ALIYA (SHARANSKY)
*       Jerusalem is the undividable Capital of the Jewish people.

THE THIRD WAY
*       Unwilling to compromise: Jerusalem is the indivisible Capital
        of The State of Israel.
